MyLinearSolver started as a single tool: a linear equation solver that shows every elimination step instead of just printing an answer. It has grown into a small collection of calculators for engineers and engineering students.
What makes these tools different
- They show the steps. You can follow the working, check it against your own, and spot where a hand calculation went wrong.
- They're exact where it matters. The equation and matrix tools work in fractions, so rounding errors can't creep in.
- They run in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded. The tools work on a phone in the shop or a laptop in the classroom.
- They're free. The site is supported by advertising, so there are no accounts or paywalls.
The tools
- Linear equation solver: systems of any size, with steps.
- Matrix calculator: determinant, inverse, reduced row echelon form and transpose.
- Takt time calculator: takt time, minimum workstations and line balance efficiency.
Suggestions for new tools are welcome. See the contact page.
Accuracy
Every tool is tested against worked examples, but no calculator replaces engineering judgement. Check results before relying on them for design, safety or financial decisions. See the terms of use.
